The Omega Course for Church Planting consists of five practical training manuals which each offer 26 hours of instruction; sharing a vision for saturation church planting as well as practical principles and priorities for accomplishing local church plants. This course has been used throughout Central and Eastern Europe as a tool to guide and train church planters in 27 countries.

The course focuses on: Vision for Church Planting, Theology, Discipleship, Spiritual Character, Ecclesiology, and many other topics important for the establishment of new church plants. While this course in itself contains great content and a great structure the strength of the Emerging Leaders Internship is that it will be taught by pastors who have spent years planting and growing healthy churches.

Each week we will spend a day at the location of the teaching pastor going through one of the subjects of the pastors expertise. Based on a teaching and discussion format we will work through the each of the subjects within the Omega Course for Church Planters.

Internship Welcome Banquet

On October 31st, we hosted our Emerging Leaders Internship welcome banquet. The pastors from Warsaw had selected the young men who they felt exhibited not only leadership capacity, but also humility, a heart for God, a love for the church and a desire to grow in their spiritual journey.

Our evening was held at the International Church Location and allowed an opportunity for us to cast the vision as a group relating to where we will be heading over the next year. The pastors were able to connect and see the interns of other churches and for the first time and speak into this year and the vision for church multiplication.

“For the past summer, I was praying for an opportunity like this,” said one of the interns from the Puławska Church location, “and I am so excited to be a part of an opportunity where I can not only serve but serve with people who care about my spiritual growth.”

We had three speakers share from their heart during the course of the evening. Andrzej Bajeński, the head of our denomination, shared about the overall church planting and discipleship vision. He talked from his heart about the need to focus on investing in the next generation of leaders who have a big Kingdom mindset.

Nate, walked through the overview of the program and shared details about structure, content and cooperation. We went through some more of the details found in The Emerging Leaders Internship Welcome Packet, and heard his heart about the importance of truly investing in a few who will be sent out to impact the many.

The pastor of ICF, Don Orr, shared next on the importance of pastors mentoring and encouraging the leadership of young men. Don’s experience, not only as a pastor but also as a coach, laid the groundwork for the importance of the mentoring relationship.

It was incredible to look around the room, literally an upper room, and see a group of men and women praying and talking about how to impact Warsaw with the gospel of Christ. Their heart to see effective churches planted in each of Warsaw’s districts and see countless enter a relationship with Christ and be discipled by others, stands as a powerful testimony to the way the Spirit of God is moving throughout Central Europe.
